Wrenegade Sports is growing its menu of food-and-farming themed events with the addition of Farm to Fork Fondo — Berkshires to end the 2017 season.

The ride happens on September 24, 2017 and will be hosted at the famous Hancock Shaker Village near Pittsfield, MA. The Village's annual Country Fair with all its activities takes place the same weekend promising a multitude of things to see, do and eat for cyclists and non-cyclists alike.

The Berkshires joins the Hudson Valley, Vermont, Pennslvania Dutch country and Maine as Farm to Fork venues. The New York and Vermont events will be run for the third time in 2017 while Pennsylvania and Maine made their debuts in 2016.

When Tyler Wren called time on pro cycling in late 2014 He told Cycling News that his plan for retirement was to "create innovative and sustainable events that offer achievable challenges for riders of all abilities."

The Farm to Fork Fondo Logo atop the Start line gantry stood out against a bright blue Hudson Valley sky.
He and his team at Wrenegade Sports have certainly done that and have received warm applause for their events from many quarters. They also deserve praise for being receptive to constructive criticism and directly addressing some of the comments in granfondo.com's Hudson Valley report.

The routes for the new event are yet to be confirmed. Berkshire County offers some challenging terrain including Mount Greylock, the highest point in Massachusetts at 3,489 feet.

Wrenegade Sports is promising more details in coming weeks and registration for the Berkshires — and all the Farm to Fork events — will open this winter.
