Rapha's North American expansion is continuing with new stores — or Clubhouses — being opened in Seattle and Boulder.

The British producer of high-end cycling kit is continuing its formula of shop, cafe and Rapha Cycling Club bases in one at the new locations.

As well as selling Rapha's range of clothing and accessories, Clubhouses show bike racing live and host cycling-related displays and events, creating, in Rapha's own words, the "perfect home for the sport and culture of road racing".

Job listings for the new locations include Barista and RCC Chapter Coordinator as well as more traditional retail roles.

Rapha's North American HQ in Portland, Oregon, is looking for a Chapter Coordinator as the number of RCC outposts grows with three more planned beyond Seattle and Boulder. Los Angeles has been mentioned in the past and it hosted a pop-up store in 2016.

"At the heart of our business is the global Rapha Cycling Club, with local chapters created at each Clubhouse around the world," said Rapha founder Simon Mottram.

"We have seen exceptional growth to date, with thousands of club members now cycling and socializing together, connecting with the sport through Rapha."

The Rapha Cycling Club started in 2014 and has almost 8,000 members globally paying dues of $200 per year. Benefits include special events, an app that connects members, a calendar of RCC rides, exclusive kit and the ability to hire Canyon road bikes for $25 a day. Free coffee is thrown in as well, which could on its own cover the dues if you live or work close to a Clubhouse.

Boulder and Seattle will bring to 14 the number of Rapha Clubhouses globally.

In addition, Rapha runs Mobile Clubhouses and pop-up stores, which can be used to judge demand for a permanent presence. The latest pop-up just opened in Miami.
